Warehouse Extensions in Burton-on-Trent

Recently completed and handed over is the extension to the former Littlewoods distribution centre for Opus Axis at Burton on Trent. The £5.0 million pound extension represents the largest warehouse built by Baggaley.

The extension is a massive 165,000 sq ft, bringing the gross internal floor area of the building to 460,000sq ft upon completion.

The works included the demolition of the existing North-East and South-East elevations of the building, and alterations to the existing steelwork to incorporate the new extension. Cladding on the new build was matched to the existing cladding and included a high level feature band. Dock Levellers were installed including all shelters and 18 PCC units, together with two new level access doors.

Our works also included the provision of a new service yard for 12 trailers, together with new office facilities.
