Race for Life 2008

On a lovely warm morning and afternoon in Bakewell on Sunday 18th May 2008, a team of ladies from Baggaley Construction took part in the Race for Life to raise funds for and awareness of Cancer Research UK. The team were running in memory of Jo Baggaley who sadly lost her fight against cancer in 2007.

All of our team members completed the 5km course, some running and some walking (some even managing a sprint finish at the end!), and on a very emotional day there was a great spirit of togetherness amongst all of the 2,000 participants at the Bakewell event.

In total, the team raised £2507.50 for this very worthy cause, with donations from friends, family and colleagues.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and a very big thank you to everybody who supported the ladies with a donation and helped to raise funds for this important charity.
